Blackpool & Wyre Crown Green Bowling Academy CIC
BWCGBA was established in October 2024 as an independent Community Interest Company to offer people in the communities of Blackpool and Wyre the opportunity to learn how to play the game of Crown Green Bowls.
Bowling for all
BWCGBA caters to anyone from the age of seven. We have three qualified coaches, all BDS approved, ready to teach the basics of bowling during a free course that is light-hearted.
The academy also assists those people with additional needs and physical disabilities, who have fun with our safe, specialised bowling equipment.
Our qualified coaches are available to help any bowling club with coaching assistance for their members on their green.
We can also help with fun open days when clubs are trying to attract new members.
As the academy is independent, our coaches can travel to any location in the Blackpool or Wyre boroughs. Any equipment we may use is transportable and easily laid out for use.
Bowls Buddies
We use Bowls Buddies products, which include various pieces of equipment such as targets and their light, soft bowls that are safe for children and people with additional needs.
The bowls are designed to react in the same way as a normal bowl.
